  1. USAMV IASI - RO IASI03 "Ion Ionescu de la Brad" University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Iasi Key Action 1 – ERASMUS Mobilities

  2. Student selection For obtaining an Erasmus scholarship Where?  At each Faculty When?  Between 11th – 22rdMarch 2019 Who? • BA, MA and PhD students enrolled at USAMV Iasi With whom?  With the selection committee from each faculty

  3. Selection criteria • The student must have a good academic record for the past year / semester; • to have an appropriate level of the foreign language; • to submit the selection file and participate in the selection (CV in EN with a valid phone number and E-mail address, letter of intent, ID card / Passport copy, academic record/transcript of records, foreign language certificate, if it is the case, etc).

  4. Eligibility criteria (1) • Students must be enrolled at USAMV Iasi at one of the BA / MA / PhD programs of study; • For mobilities of study (SMS), students must be enrolled at least in the 2nd year of study when they will be participating in the mobility;this condition is not applied for mobilities of training (SMP); • The students have to apply for a mobility in a country that is different than the country of origin.Foreign students need to add to their application file a copy of their Registration Certificate from the Immigration Office;

  5. Eligibility criteria (2) • Newly graduate students may apply for a training mobility, except for foreign students (the duration of all Erasmus+ mobilities done in the respective cycle of studies must not exceed 12 months); • The minimum period of the mobility: SMS (study) = 90 days; SMP (training) = 60 days Students may become Erasmus students with “zero grant” (may participate in the mobility, but will not receive any money from the program grant).

  6. Results of the selection In the case in which the total number of admitted students from the four faculties exceeds the number of places financed by the program, the students will be selected in the descending order of their scores, respecting the percentage of participation for each Faculty in part, reported to the total number of students at the University level (approx. 40% Agriculture, 16% Horticulture, 20% Animal Sciences and 24% Veterinary). In the case in which there are not enough participants in the selection for all faculties, in order to reach the percentage of participation per each faculty, the unoccupied places will be re-distributed to the faculties that have more candidates than the percentage established initially, respecting the percentage difference between the four faculties. The students who are admitted at the Faculty level, who fit within the number of places financed by the program, will have the status of „admitted candidate”, if the percentage of participation of their respective Faculty is nor surpassed. The students who are admitted at the Faculty level, but do not fit within the number of places financed by the program, will have the status of “reserve” at the University level, or may become Erasmus students with “zero grant” (may participate in the mobility, but will not receive any money from the program grant).

  7. What are the conditions? (1) The ERASMUS program grants partial funding for the mobilities; students need to possess the necessary funds to cover the expenses of the first month of the mobility period in case the program funds will not be paid by the National Agency (ANPCDEFP) until leaving for the mobility. For the students who are elected for a mobility of study, the monthly grants are fixed, according to the country of destination, as follows: Groups 1 and 2 of countries (520 Euro/month): Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Germany, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Malta, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Denmark, Sweden.

  8. What are the conditions? (2) Group 3 of countries (470 Euro/month): Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Turkey. There will be another 200 Euro/month added in the following situations: • - for students with reduced opportunities (those who benefit from social scholarship), in the case in which they have been selected for a mobility of study (SMS); • for training mobilities (SMP). The payment of the grant will be done in 2 installments: 80% of the total grant sum, before leaving for the mobility (if the funds from ANPCDEFP have been received) and the rest of 20% upon returning in the country and fulfilling all contractual obligations (the students who do not have a legal guarantee, will receive the 100% sum upon returning in the country).

  9. Useful info (1) The list of partner institutions and details regarding the bilateral agreements (number of places, type of mobility – study or training, deadlines, conditions etc) may be found on the Erasamus + Office web page: http://www.uaiasi.ro/index.php?lang=ro&pagina=pagini/5_programul_ erasmus-plus.html Before the selection process, it is recommended that students consult the list and the details about the partner institutions.

  10. Useful info (2) It is mandatory that students choose a partner institution that has the same area / field of study as our University, so that they could choose subjects that are identical or very similar to those that are studied at their home Faculty (USAMV Iasi). This way, the total or partial equivalence of subjects (and number of credits) may be done, upon returning in the country. This means that it is mandatory for the students to research the curriculums of the partner institutions they are interested about and see what courses they have available for their field of study.

  11. DOCUMENTS needed BEFORE the selection - CVin EN (with a valid phone number and E-mail address); - letter of intent; - ID card / Passport copy; - academic records / transcript of records; - language certificate (if it is the case); - student certificate. http://www.uaiasi.ro/index.php?lang=ro&pagina=pagini/5_programul_erasmus-plus.html

  14. Documents needed AFTER the mobility Documents signed and stamped and dated at the receiving institution: • the full Learning Agreement; - The Certificate of stay for the period on the financial contract and/or additional document (the period from the certificate of stay may be bigger BUT NOT smaller than the one on the financial contract); - Transcript of records (for mobilities of study) and/or transcript of work (for mobilities of training); (the original of these documents must be submitted at the Erasmus+ Office and their copies must be submitted at the secretariat of the Faculty, together with the request for equivalence of subjects, etc) • The Europass document (mandatory only for newly graduated students); - The online Report to the MT, will be submitted upon receiving the informing message; - Finishing the language testing in OLS.

Erasmus+ students may take exams that they have not passed or exams for subjects that were not available at the receiving institution during the mobility, in a specially organized exam session, upon returning from the mobility. The Erasmus+ mobility must be mentioned in the student’s Diploma supplement. trebuie menţionată în Suplimentul la diplomă.

  16. Linguistic testing BEFORE and AFTER the mobilityeach student is obligated to be tested on the Online Linguistic Support (OLS) platform. The result of the test DOES NOT HAVE a negative impact on the mobility. BEFORE leaving (BUT after the selection)and/orDURING the mobility the student may benefit from linguistic support (courses), on the OLS platform. Students who have obtained results below the B1 levelwill automatically receive a learning licence on OLS.
