Questions • How can you insure that, if students come up with their own questions and methods, how can you make sure that all students are doing work of the same caliber and rigor?  • How can you check comprehension if this is student led? How can you prove their learning, not only to you, but to your administrators? • Considering that children DO need adult support (to an extent) to learn, is this truly an effective method to introduce material to our younger, or even below-grade-level, learners? Also, when does inquiry-based learning generally produce highly engaging thought/discussion in the classroom? • How do you prepare students to use inquiry-based instruction? How do you know what an appropriate topic is for inquiry-based instruction? • In the classes I've observed I've found the students (even at the senior level) know very little about the subject they are learning. If their pre-knowledge is zero how can we realistically expect to have them teach themselves a topic even if the teacher is there to guide them through it? And how can we realistically expect them to understand the point of the lesson?  • When is the proper time to intervene and how much should the teacher get involved if the student is on the wrong track on their answer and the other students stop paying attention?
