  3. On February 27th, • Halley’s comet passed for the 15th time ever recorded, in 837 A.D. • Baseball was first played in England, at Lord Cricket Grounds, in 1874. • Oscar Hammerstein patents the first cigar rolling machine, in 1883.

  4. Also on February 27th, • U.S. Supreme Court unanimously votes for women to have the right to vote. This happened in 1922. • Chile has a 8.8 magnitude earthquake. This triggers a tsunami. This killed around 500 people in 2010.

  9. Chile, South America • Chile is a long narrow state located in South America. Most people here speak Spanish. The climate here has a very wide range. Up in the north there are many deserts, but in the south it is colder with much more rain. Their most popular sport is football (remember they call soccer football). Chile’s national dance is the Cueca. People often eat seafood, beefs, fruits, and vegetables here. They have already had their 1st women president unlike the U.S.SebastiánPiñerais their current president. Chile is a wonderful country.
