  1. The Beginning of Salah Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times. (Surat An-Nisa’: 103) “Pray as you have seen me Pray”

Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. (Ash-Shu’ra’: 214)

  3. The Second Stage "O sons ofAbdul-Muttalib, Allah has sent me, as His Messenger, to all people andparticularly to you. He ordered me: 'And warn your nearest relations'. Iinvite you to accept two short sentences. They are easy on the tongue,but in the balance of action they are heavy and difficult. By them youwill be the masters of the Arabs and non-Arabs. Nations will yield toyou. Enter paradise and be saved from hell. They are the testimony of:There is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah.Whoever answers me and helps me in this affair and in carrying it onwill be my brother, trustee helper, inheritor and the successor afterme."

  4. The Second Stage The Messenger of Allâh [pbuh] ascended Mount As-Safa and started to call: "O BaniFahr! O Bani ‘Adi! O BaniHashim! O Bani Abdul-Mutallib!." Many people gathered and those who couldn’t, sent somebody to report to them. Abu Lahab was also present. The Prophet [pbuh] said: "You see, if I were to tell you that there were some horsemen in the valley planning to raid you, will you believe me?" They said: "Yes, we have never experienced any lie from you." He said: "I am a warner to you before a severe torment.“ Abu Lahab promptly replied: "Perish you all the day! Have you summoned us for such a thing?" The verses were immediately revealed on that occasion [Bukhari 2/702; Muslim 1/114]:

May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame

  6. The Second Stage Kahin – Soothsayer: His words were not so rhymed. Majnun – Possessed by jinn: His state of mind was rational and not peculiar. Sha’ir – Poet: His words are not from the lexicon or style or poetry. Saahir – Witchcraft: He never blew upon tied knots, etc. “By Allah, what he says has a sweetness to it, and a charm upon it; the highest part of it is fruitful and the lowest part of it is gushing forth with bounty; it dominates and cannot be dominated, and it crushes all that is under it."

Leave Me with the one I created alone And to whom I granted extensive wealth وبنين شهودا And children present [with him]

And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]. Then he desires that I should add more. No! Indeed, he has been toward Our verses stubborn.

  9. The Second Stage إنه فكر وقدر Indeed, he thought and deliberated. فقتل كيف قدر So may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. ثم قتل كيف قدر Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. ثم نظر Then he considered [again];

Then he frowned and scowled; Then he turned back and was arrogant And said, "This is not but ancient magic.

Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers *** ولربك فاصبر But for your Lord be patient.

  12. The Second Stage "Are you better than `Abdullah (the Prophet's father)? Are you better than `Abdul-Muttalib (the Prophet's grandfather)?" But the Prophet did not respond to those degrading remarks. `Utbah continued, "If you say that they are better than you, then they worshiped the gods you criticize; and if you claim that you are better than they, you can proclaim this loudly in order to be heard. You exposed us before the Arabs until it was spread among them that the Quraish has a magician or a monk. Do you want us to unsheathe the sword and engage in a bitter war until annihilation?“

  13. The Second Stage Oh my nephew! If you desire money and wealth by preaching what you are preaching, we will collect enough for you from our own. We will make you the wealthiest of all of us. If it is chieftainship that you desire, we are ready to make you our paramount chief, so that we will never decide on a matter without you. If you desire rulership, we will make you our ruler. And if this condition that you call revelation is a jinn whose grip you cannot escape from, we are ready to call the most distinguished physicians of time to examine you, and we will spend generously till you are completely cured. For sometimes a jinn seizes hold of a victim totally till the former is exorcised."

But if they turn away, then say: "I have warned you of a Sa'iqah (a destructive awful cry, torment, hit, a thunderbolt) like the Sa'iqah which overtook 'Ad and Thamud."
