  2. IT Professional • A person that perform many variety of duties in the area of Information Technology which includes, but not limited to, designing and configuring networks, installing applications, and designing information databases.

  3. IT Strategy • IT strategy is the way a business looks at its information technology and the way that it fits with the business’s overall vision of policy and processes.

  4. IT Policy • IT policy is the written policy that describes the use of and/or acquisition of information technology resources within an organization.

  5. IT Governance • IT governance is the governing body that ensures that IT fits in with the organization’s processes, strategies, and objectives.

  6. The business world • In the business world we have Strategy, Policy and Governance. • Strategy is the way the business want to go about growing and do business with other businesses. • Policy is the ruling guide that the business has for its people to do business by.Policy is most of the time guided by laws. • Governance is the big picture of how the business should be ran to protect the company and its stakeholders.

  7. IT and the business world • IT professionals bring the IT Policy, IT Governance and IT Strategy inline with the Business.
