Priority List • Working with php Excel and dB • Getting the showcase details presented in a snapshot view and more in-depth detail about each project • Functionality to switch showcase years (e.g. choose a year from dropdown list and the projects of that year will render). NOTE: You only have to add details for the students of the excel sheet year I gave ye!

  3. Documentation • Do not throw away marks!!!! • Easy marks for free!

  4. 1. Working With Excel • Here’s a storyboard for anyone that is struggling to see what to do with the excel db stuff. It may help you get going. • I’ll go through it in terms of what tutorials you have covered • Excuse the drawings….

  5. Excel/php tutorial • Here you took a excel file and using php you read the student details using php • You stored the data in variables

  6. dB Writing tutorial • Here you inserted data into a database. • The tutors showed you how to insert variable data into the dB. Maybe you inserted using a form with some text fields!

  7. Now mix both tutorials!! • Take the data you read in from the excel file (you will have stored the data in php variables) and insert it into the dB. • You will have to use loops that you will have used during other tutorial sessions!

  8. What I don’t Care About • For part 2 of the project I don’t care about your design!! No marks for design. New Design = NO new marks! • Include instructions sheet with bullet points. Tell me what works and what does not! • Instruct me as to how I can test your working functionality • Have I mentioned that no marks are going for your design in this phase!
