  1. Presentation of Information with MS PowerPoint CSE 3 FALL2013 Adventurein Computational Thinking By YinanZheng • - We have used PowerPoint to display our result • We use PowerPoint to do our final show case • Have pictures/colors inside • Organize the data/and the graph Computational Thinking Overview • - We have made a plan for our future career. • We have reproduced a webpage from a known webpage. • What is Computational Thinking?Computational thinking (CT) involves a set of problem-solving skills and techniques that software engineers use to write programs that underlie the computer applications you use such as search, email, and maps. Here are specific techniques. (wiki) Course Description: proficiency with certain computer applications (traditional computer literacy), principles on which you can build new understanding as IT evolves, high level reasoning and IT problem solving, and basic web programming (HTML/XHTML ). Computational thinking, Data analysis, and data presentations. Daily in -class activities with weekly organized lab projects. • Becoming Skilled at Information Technology • Algorithms and Digitizing Information • Data and Information Analysis and Presentation • Problem Solving(CSE Marx’s syabllus) Desktop Publishing with MS Word - We have developed a desktop publish on our computer. - We have utilized MS Word for different tasks Making Information Available to the World with HTML and Web Pages Data Analysis and Visualization with excel • What is Excel? • Excel is a spreadsheet program in the Microsoft Office system. You can use Excel to create and format workbooks (a collection of spreadsheets) in order to analyze data and make more informed business decisions. Specifically, you can use Excel to track data, build models for analyzing data, write formulas to perform calculations on that data, pivot the data in numerous ways, and present data in a variety of professional looking charts.(wiki-search) • We have made data analysis on different companies • We have made graphs to show the result • There is a link to our CSE 3 page • We have made the webpage as Proud to be a Triton.html • A sample html with all formats • We have made a calendar for the coming Halloween HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is the main markup language for creating web pages and other information that can be displayed in a web browser.(Wikipedia) Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript • JavaScript (JS) is an interpreted computer programming language.[5] As part of web browsers, implementations allow client-side scripts to interact with the user, control the browser, communicate asynchronously, and alter the document content that is displayed.[5] It has also become common in server-side programming, game development and the creation of desktop applications.(Wikipedia) • We have done an interactive TritonShirt Menu • A interactive window on a webpage • A loop with Java • A simple BlackJack Game Visual Programming with Alice • Alice is an innovative 3D programming environment that makes it easy to create an animation for telling a story, playing an interactive game, or a video to share on the web. Alice is a freely available teaching tool designed to be a student's first exposure to object-oriented programming. It allows students to learn fundamental programming concepts in the context of creating animated movies and simple video games. In Alice, 3-D objects (e.g., people, animals, and vehicles) populate a virtual world and students create a program to animate the objects.(wiki-search) • We have made our own CLOCK! • We have made a frog cartoon!
