  5. Key Terms Place Value- the value given to a digit by its position in a number. Decimal- a number that has a digit in the tenths place, hundredths place, and/or beyond. Decimal point- a point between a whole number and a decimal fraction. Equivalent decimals- decimals that have the same value.

  6. Mini Lesson • Your Challenge:Find out how Sanya’s time compares to the times of the other Olympians. What place does Sanya come in? You are an Olympic coach for Sanya Richards-Ross. You need to compare Sanya’s fastest sprint times with the other Olympians.
