  1. Warm-up • Fill out the name card on your desk • In the middle write your name • Design the card however you would like that tells me something about you. • KEEP IT APPROPRIATE!

  4. Parent Questionnaire • Please tell your parents to print this out, fill it out, send back with your syllabus. • Parent Questionare.pdf

  5. Lab Safety/lab equipment • Lab safety document is on my website • It will need to be electronically filled out • Student signature • Parent signature • We will go over lab safety and equipment after get to know you activities today.

  6. Warm-up/Bell Ringer • When the bell rings you should be in your seat working on the warm-up • Written on the board/Smart board • If it is a paper it will be in the student center to the right of the door • Come in grab warm-up paper if on desk, if not continue working on warm up paper in notebook  sit down  start working

  7. Teacher Time • Respect goes both ways • Awake and Aware • Raised hands • No cell phones out unless we are working on digital work • Pencil and paper out on desk • Book Bags under desk • Ask before moving

  10. Guided Practice • Time for in class work • Time to ask any questions • Clarification time

  11. Independent Practice • Either in Class or Out of class work • Work that comes after clarification and understanding of guided practice. • Usually will be graded • Homework • Project • Quiz

  12. Lab Time • Everyone will have a job • Final lab reports will count as a project grade-40% • Safety contract online • When the timer goes off all eyes are on me and conversations come to an end.

  13. Testing • No technology out unless we are using chrome books for the test • Teal time can be used for questions regarding test or for making up test. • If you miss a test you are expected to make up the test the first day that you are back

  14. Leaving the room • If you need to leave the room, ask yourself “Will it distract the class if I ask to leave the class at this moment?” • I do not have a certain amount of passes, but do not abuse this! • When it is appropriate • Ask • Sign out • Take the designated pass with you

  15. Due Dates • Home work will be due the morning after it is given unless otherwise specified. • Late work will be 10 points off per day-cut off at 60 • Assignments will be turned in to bin with period number on it

  16. Absent work • Absent work will be in your class folder in the student center • Folders are the same color as the period number bin for assignment turn in. • You will have 5 days to make up work • If you miss a test you must take it the first day you are back

  17. End of class • Do not line up at the door and wait for the bell to ring. • You will be asked to go back to your seat, and then will probably end up being the last out of the door. • We will work on things until the bell rings. • If we end a unit early there will always be the next unit to begin. • The more we work in school, the less homework you have outside of school!

  21. Current Event Friday • Current event friday rubric • Every Monday 5 students will be assigned • Every Friday those 5 students will do an elevator speech on their paper • Easy Project grade!

  23. Homework • Read over syllabus and get it signed! • Have parents fill out parent questionnaire • Fill out Lab safety checklist on google docs. • Have parents sign too! • Play some purpose games!
