Delhi • Delhi is a metropolitan region in India that includes the national capital city, New Delhi. • Delhi contains many important historical monuments, buildings and features. • South Delhi is the administrative district of Delhi, India • A visit to South Delhi offers many monuments that tell the history of India.

LOTUS TEMPLE • Bahai Temple or the Lotus Temple is an exquisite example of unison of the biggest religion of mankind- Humanity. • The beautiful architecture of this Templeof Peace inspires the growth of Spiritual Self. "Intellectual cohesion and Spiritual magnification lead to devotional edification." • The Wonder Architecture this architectural spectacle has been designed by Mr. FariborzSahba. • The outside structure of the house of worship is constructed into three ranks of nine petals. • Nine reflecting pools surround the building on the outside, their form suggesting the green leaves of the lotus flower.

QutubMinar • QutubMinar is not only an important tourist spot in New Delhi rather it is an exquisite example of the Mughal Architecture. • QutubMinar is the highest stone tower in India as well as one of the finest Islamic structures ever raised. • In 1199 AD, Qutub-ud-Din Aibak laid the foundation of QutubMinar. This towering structure in red sandstone has a diameter of 14.32m at the base and about 2.75m on the top with a height of 72.5m. • All the storeys are surrounded by a projected balcony encircling the Minar and are supported by exquisite stalactite designs.

Humayun Temple • Humayun's Tomb is an architectural marvel of India and a very substantial example of the magnificence of Mughal Culture. • The tomb was built by Humayun's senior widow BegaBegam. Humayun was the successor of the first Mughal emperor, Babur. • It is the first relevant form of the Mughal architecture, with high arches and double dome, which occurs here for the first time in India.

  6. Safdarjung Tomb • Safdarjung's Tomb is an outstanding example of Mughal Architecture. • It represents the last phase of Mughal style of architecture. Built in 1753by NawabShuja-ud-Daula, Safdarjung's Tomb stands in the centre of beautiful garden, which spreads over an area of over 300-sq-metre. • The tomb also has a mosque
