1. The Greatness of God神的偉大Isaiah 40:10-31以賽亞 40:10 – 31 Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. 11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. 12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?主耶和華必像大能者臨到；他的膀臂必為他掌權。他的賞賜在他那裡；他的報應在他面前。 11 他必像牧人牧養自己的羊群，用膀臂聚集羊羔抱在懷中，慢慢引導那乳養小羊的。 12 誰曾用手心量諸水，用手虎口量蒼天，用升斗盛大地的塵土，用秤稱山嶺，用天平平岡陵呢？

2. 13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? 14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding? 15 Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. 16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering. 17 All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity. 18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him? 19 The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains.13 誰曾測度耶和華的心（或譯：誰曾指示耶和華的靈），或作他的謀士指教他呢？ 14 他與誰商議，誰教導他，誰將公平的路指示他，又將知識教訓他，將通達的道指教他呢？ 15 看哪，萬民都像水桶的一滴，又算如天平上的微塵；他舉起眾海島，好像極微之物。 16 利巴嫩的樹林不夠當柴燒；其中的走獸也不夠作燔祭。 17 萬民在他面前好像虛無，被他看為不及虛無，乃為虛空。18 你們究竟將誰比　神，用甚麼形像與神比較呢？ 19 偶像是匠人鑄造，銀匠用金包裹，為他鑄造銀鍊。

3. 20 He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved. 21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? 22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: 23 That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. 24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. 25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. 20 窮乏獻不起這樣供物的，就揀選不能朽壞的樹木，為自己尋找巧匠，立起不能搖動的偶像。 21 你們豈不曾知道麼？你們豈不曾聽見麼？從起初豈沒有人告訴你們麼？自從立地的根基，你們豈沒有明白麼？ 22 神坐在地球大圈之上；地上的居民好像蝗蟲。他鋪張穹蒼如幔子，展開諸天如可住的帳棚。 23 他使君王歸於虛無，使地上的審判官成為虛空。 24 他們是剛纔（或譯：不曾；下同）栽上，剛纔種上，根也剛纔扎在地裡，他一吹在其上，便都枯乾；旋風將他們吹去，像碎秸一樣。 25 那聖者說：你們將誰比我，叫他與我相等呢？

4. 26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. 27 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. 26 你們向上舉目，看誰創造這萬象，按數目領出，他一一稱其名；因他的權能，又因他的大能大力，連一個都不缺。 27 雅各啊，你為何說，我的道路向耶和華隱藏？以色列啊，你為何言，我的冤屈神並不查問？ 28 你豈不曾知道麼？你豈不曾聽見麼？永在的　神耶和華，創造地極的主，並不疲乏，也不困倦；他的智慧無法測度。 29 疲乏的，他賜能力；軟弱的，他加力量。 30 就是少年人也要疲乏困倦；強壯的也必全然跌倒。 31 但那等候耶和華的必從新得力。他們必如鷹展翅上騰；他們奔跑卻不困倦，行走卻不疲乏。
