  3. Global Outreach • It will show your connections to the world and global outreach. • Do you recycle? • Do you do any community service? • I reach out to others • I learn about others • I respect others and the world.

  4. Democratic Process • I talk about things • I help Solve Problems • I listen to everyone • I vote With your family? Your friends? Your club or church?

  5. Goals and Goal Setting • I choose goals • I make a plan • I work on my plan • I make new goals

  9. Remember to be safe • Do not give any identifying information about yourself. Use only your first name for middle school, only your first initial for elementary school. • Do not post your last name, address, phone number • Do not communicate with anyone you do not know and tell an adult immediately if any web content you view makes you uncomfortable • Remember that someone online may not be the person you think they are ie they might say they are a 12 year old girl but in fact are a 40 year old male predator... and this should scare you into not communicating with anyone you do not know face to face

  15. You have created a site!! • Congratulations, you have started a portfolio that you can have as long as you are a student in Manatee County. You can burn this to a disc and later, show your kids and your future employers, or employees!!

  16. Now what?? • Now you can fill up your site with what you want others to know about you!! • Highlight your connections to global outreach, your enthusiasm for learning, your democratic processes, and your goals and smart methods of goal setting.
