  2. CSI 008 Designated areas • Yes • Data on this indicator have already been reported to the EEA since 2003. Reporting must be improved with info on the habitats.

  3. CSI 007 Threatened and protected species • Yes • Red book 2005, for flora and fauna. IRFP does the monitoring of wood species endangered and in way of extinction (monitoring of 9 such species). IBR monitors the threatened species of fauna. IRFP monitors the threatened and endangered species, species under extinction and dominating species; the ratio between the red list species towards the total list of species;

  4. CSI 012 Global and European temperature • Yes • Institute of Hydrometeorology monitors the situation on country level.

  5. CSI 010 Greenhouse gas emissions and removals • Yes • First National Communication to the UNFCCC (base year 1994). The second communication is underway (base year 2000).
