  3. taught (tot) Her teacher taught her how to do division problems in math class.

  4. thought (thot) This gorilla looks like she is deep in thought.

  5. rough (ruff) The trunks of most trees feel rough, not smooth.

  6. laugh (laff) I wonder what made this baby laugh so hard?

  7. bought (bot) She bought enough groceries for her family for the week.

  8. cough (coff) You should cough into your elbow, not your hands, so other don’t get sick.

  9. ought (ot) Alice asked the cat which way she ought to go and he said, “It depends on where you want to get to.”

  10. caught (cot) He couldn’t believe he caught the ball! We came home and caught our dog playing in the trash.

  11. fought (fot) Even though the puppies and kittens fought, they weren’t trying to hurt each other.

  12. daughter (dotter) The woman’s daughter got bored and went to look for something to do.

  13. tough (tuff) This is one tough race to finish!

  14. through (throo) The dolphin is trained to jump through the hoop.

  15. enough (enuff) The dog didn’t think it got enough food and was asking for more.

  16. brought (brot) The man brought a lot of bags with him!
