Your gums will be taken care of with the least invasive and most cost-effective methods possible. Most procedures will begin with non-surgical gum treatments that consist of scaling and root planning. You will then receive therapy in the form of antimicrobial treatments to reduce bacterial toxins in your gums. When surgery may be required If you have gum disease, pain, infection, swelling, sores, and receding gum,s these are signs that you may need surgery. Gum surgery is only needed when we determine that the tissue around your teeth is not healthy and unrepairable with non-surgical treatment.

Periodontal Disease The word periodontal means “around the tooth”.  Periodontal disease attacks the gums and the bone that support the teeth.  Plaque is a sticky film of food debris, bacteria, and saliva.  If plaque is not removed, it turns into calculus (tartar).  When plaque and calculus are not removed, they begin to destroy the gums and bone.  Periodontal disease is characterized by red, swollen, and bleeding gums.
