  6. Methods • Audit all admissions - Sept-Oct 2008 • Was there evidence of assessment? • Page 1 • Page 14 • Was the enquiry open or closed? • Denomination or “yes/no” = closed • Dialogue = open

  10. Limitations and dangers • Language • “Assessment” or “enquiry” • One off “tick box” or open “start to journey” • “Church” “denomination” “religion” • OR • “what are your fears” “any questions” “the big life questions” “God and all that!”

  11. Questions • Should we audit this? • How? • inclusive • Who? • Generalist, specialist, • Faith, no faith, different faith • When? • On Admission, but tired, urgency, awkwardness • Need, urgency, last rites, it’s OK to ask!
