PRACTICING RUN FITS • We find time to practice our run fits on barrels every practice • The key is to get plenty of reps; we can get a group 10 reps in about 2 minutes • MLB – Mirrors Fullback • ILB / OLB – Read track of the deepest back flow (Hard, Fast, Angle, Away) • Hard = Iso Fast = Sweep Angle = Power

14. Blitzing Techniques • We identify our blitz technique with 4 terms: Inside or Outside & Level 1 or Level 2 • An Inside blitz is any blitz that attacks a gap between two offensive players • An Outside blitz is any blitz that attacks a gap with only one side is protected by an offensive player • Level 1 tells the blitzer to attack at a flat angle and “Run the Heel Line”. He has no contain responsibility. • Level 2 tells the blitzer to attack the “Hip of the Deepest Back”. He has contain responsibility.

15. Cover 3 Basics • CBs/FS – Nobody gets deep! • SPUR/ BANDIT – Width before depth • SLB/ WLB – Wall Technique • MLB – Draw/Screen, then Low Hole • If SAM or WILL are blitzing, MIKE takes their Wall Technique • If both SAM & WILL are blitzing, MIKE is Low Hole right now
