  25. EXTENSION • ATMA- PPP • ATMA is working with 19 partners namely ITC, PRADAN, GVT, ASA, MPRLP, DAAWAT, K.J. EDUCATION SOC. (OLD PARTNERS) and new partners are NICT, Consortium of Satpuravigyansabha, MGM, Samarpan rural development foundation, ACCESS Development Services, SRIJAN, CARD, NIWCYD, MCMPrakritibharti, Manthangraminavamsamajsevasamiti, • Partners are working in the areas of farm schools, demonstration, training of farmers, exposure visit, kisangoshthi. etc. • Budget allocated to PPP partners during 2009-10 is Rs. 198.266 lakhs and expenditure upto Aug. 09 is Rs. 180.00 lakhs .

  26. EXTENSION • ATMASANDESH • Monthly news letter, published by one of the partner (K.J. EDUCATION SOCIETY, BHOPAL) • One lakhATMASANDESH is published every month, which is circulated to all cooperative society of MP, divisional and district head quarters of Agriculture and allied departments 71000 KishanMitra and KisanDidi.

EXTENSION • Demonstration: • 14198 demonstration have been conducted under ATMA till August 2009 • Farm School: • 429 farm schools have been established under ATMAtill August 2009 • KrishiVigyanMela: • 49 Krishivigyanmelas had been organized in kharif 2009, in the state. • Around 3.1 lakh farmers had attended the Mela. • KisanSangoshti: • Honorable Min for Agriculture has inaugurated the KisanSangoshthi on 22nd September 2009 in the entire state.

BEST EXTENSION PRACTICES • Farm School • 429 farm schools established under ATMA in Kharif 09 • Demonstration: • 14198 demonstration conducted in Kharif 09 • Community Radio Station: • First community radio station in MP at Sironj, district Vidisha. • Technical partner is ISAP. • Kisan Call Center (KCC) • KCC established at Bhopal, MP by State Govt. • The technical partner is ISAP • The toll free No is 18002334433

SPECIAL PROGRAMMES • In the year 2006-07 total KisanMitra & KisanDidi 78288 were trained • Scheme for training to schedule caste and schedule tribe farmers has been launched from 2007-08 • Scheme for training women farmers (Madhya Pradesh Woman in Agriculture - MAPWA) was launched from the year 2007-08 for 5 year • Campaign of seed treatment for Kharif and Rabi crops. • Transfer of technology through ATMA scheme

SPECIAL PROGRAMMES • Focus on minor irrigation and ground water recharge: State support to farm ponds, tanks • Revival of extension system: ATMA, KRISHINET, KCC, IVRI, KISANMITRA/ KISANDIDI, FARMER CLUBS. • Organization of field demonstration and farm school by department of Agriculture and partners under PPP model of ATMA • New scheme under AGRISNET information technology in Agriculture has been launched in the entire state from 2009-10

Strengthening Extension Machinery at State Level: 1- Video conferencing in being taken as meaningful device to discuss & guide the divisional & district level functionaries about the execution of agricultural programs. 2- To prepare & finalize the rabi 2009-10 programs, meetings under the chairmanship of APC are being taken at divisional level in the month of September 2009. 3- Computer facilities upto block level is being provided to the extension functionary in the state of M.P.

Strengthening Extension Machinery at State Level: 4- Various need based national & state level trainings are being provided to the extension officers to equip them with practical knowledge & modern technology. 5- Special programs of trainings to grass root level extension workers are being taken in the JNKVV Jabalpur & RMSKVV Gwalior under RKVY scheme . 6- State is seriously concerned with the problems of the extension functionaries Efforts for betterment of vehicle facility, office renovation, recruitment of staff is now being taken with priority.
