  2. General information • Metazet in Holland designed and engineered an Automated Hanging Basket System. • This system can be build anyway you like it. Design your own track by using right and left turns. • We can customize the track to your greenhouse specifications. • One motor will power up to 1600’ of track, depending on the number of corners. • Automated Irrigation can be done 3 different ways: with a shower, by funnels or by a balanced basket watering system. • Complete installation is available. You can also decide to install the system yourself with supervision from our install crew. • A colour touch screen controller allows for user friendly navigation between watering, loading, shipping and spraying.

Lowering unit • The unit lowers for crop maintenance, basket loading or basket removal and shipping. • Makes shipping easier. • Can continue to run while lowering. • Gives you the possibility to move up and down where you want. • Let the unit come down to you when you are ready to clean, load or ship your crop. • Can be cranked up again when you are finished.

  9. Durability A system should be functional and easy to maintain. That’s why we developed a strong and durable self-supporting track. • An engineered, strong lightweight construction • Fewer parts and less wear • Customer installation is possible. Supervision from our install crew is recommended.

  11. Design your own track This system can be build anyway you like it. The traditional rectangular loop is an option but there are many more possibilities. In the next slides we’ll show you a few of the many possibilities in which your track can be build.

  14. One motor used In all of the examples of the graphics above, there is only one motor used. One motor will power up to 1600’ of track, depending on the number of corners!

  18. Safe and reliable chain • The Automated Hanging Basket System has a chain system that is closed in by a wear-resistant and durable sliding profile. This results in: • Flexible spacing of the basket hooks, 8/10/12 or 14 inches • Safe labor conditions • No plant damage in case of system breakage, i.e. cable breakage • An automatic oiler keeps the chain running smooth

Watering • Three different ways to automatically water your baskets • By means of a shower • By means of 0.3L (10 OZ) funnels • By means of a Balanced Basket Watering System: • This system utilizes the weight of the basket to tell if the basket is there, if it needs water or if it is too wet. Once the system knows this it will either water the basket or let it pass by without watering. This is the first automated system that is able to evenly water all baskets when needed.

Controller • A color touch screen controller allows for user friendly navigation between • watering, loading, shipping and spraying the baskets that are on the system. • The controller has many useful options: • Number of baskets on the system can be counted, which allows for the different watering options. • The ability to send the system back to the home position, so that all the options like watering, loading etc. begin and end at the same spot. • The controller will let you know the amperage the motor runs at.
