  4. INTRODUCCIÓN 4 Que es la CMAPS? La Comisión Municipal de Agua Potable y Saneamiento, es un Organismo Público Paramunicipal, descentralizado de la Administración Municipal, que cuenta con personalidad jurídica y patrimonio propio, con funciones de autoridad administrativa cuyo objeto es administrar, operar, mantener, conservar y mejorar el servicio público de agua potable y saneamiento y los servicios relativos al alcantarillado de los centros de población y asentamientos humanos, urbanos y rurales del Municipio de La Antigua, así como el de construir, rehabilitar y ampliar la infraestructura requerida para la prestación del servicio público a su cargo, además de los servicios conexos como plantas de tratamiento de aguas residuales. MENSAJE 5 Nuestro compromiso se encausa a cumplir con las necesidades de todos los usuarios del municipio de La Antigua, por eso nos esforzamos arduamente para estar al tanto de las prioridades que existen en el suministro del vital liquido.
