  3. Officers, cont. Treasurer/Secretary – Kelly McGurren Public Relations Coordinator – Brianna Leyden

  4. Purpose • Connections and networking with: • Fellow pre-med students • Current medical students • Physicians • Test prep centers • Medical schools • And more • Opportunities in: • Volunteering • Academic support and guidance • Community outreach • Med. school application help

  5. How this club works: • Meetings: • First Wednesday of every month during school • 5:30 p.m. • 1005 Haworth • Requirements: • Attendance is NOT mandatory, but strongly encouraged

  6. Membership Dues: • $20 per member • To be used for food, guest speakers, necessary expenses, etc. • Committees: • Committees will be used to encourage active member participation in a variety of areas like: • Fundraising • Community Outreach • Etc. • It’s not required to be on a committee, but you’re going to get out of the club what you put into it.

  7. Events for the Year • Research • Communication with various faculty members, etc. looking for research assistants • Volunteering Opportunities • Putting together first aid kits for the needy • Hillcrest Transitional Housing • Autopsies • In discussion with the facilitator • Last year, were scheduled various Tues/Thurs mornings in Topeka
