Graduated from Southwest Normal University in 1985, English major • Worked as an English teacher ever since • Studied in Yunnan Normal University (for the Master’s degree) • Studied in Brighton University in England • Participated in some teacher-training projects as a teacher trainer • Worked as a mentor for beginner teachers

  3. I am an English teacher working at Kunming No 8 High School. This is the school where I work.

  4. It’s one of the best schools in Yunnan Province, having the best facilities. • We have 343 staff and almost 4000 students studying on two campuses.

  5. We appeal for perseverience, honesty, creativity and devotion.

  6. What am I doing as a mentor? • Organizing discussions about how to make a lesson more efficient • Having seminars about English teaching tips and ideas • Doing research projects to help mentees learn by doing

  7. What am I interested in? How teachers do their in-service learning in America? In which ways do teachers develop themselves in their career? What kinds of training do teachers receive to improve their teaching?
