  2. Brief Life Story • William grew up poor and some jobs just weren't open to him. The sea offered an escape for William, So he joined a trade ship after he finished working with the trade ship he joined the navy. During his work in the navy he got the Victoria cross for doing a six man job with only his officer to help him. After his service in the navy he volunteered for the royal navy and after his service in the royal navy he returned home.

  4. Family location and Conditions • William lived 70 kilometers away from Halifax. • Grew up quite poor. • William halls parent were Lucy hall and Jacob.

  5. Personal reflection about William VC Hall • William hall was a brave solider and he saved a lot of people and fought for his country for years so he was quite important.

  6. Major Accomplishments and Rewards • William Hall was the first black first Nova Scotia and 3rd Canadian to receive the Victoria cross
