  1. May 7, 1942 Eugene Talmadge PROFILE I currently live in Mt. Vernon Georgia. I was born in Forsyth, Georgia. I have one son, Herman Talmadge., and a wife, Mattie Thurmond Peterson. My father is Thomas Talmadge and my mother is Carrie Roberts Talmadge. I was educated at The University of Georgia, I graduated from the Universities Law School. I am currently in my third term as Governor of Georgia. Philosophies My son Herman Talmadge inspires me for everything I do. Arts & Entertainment Book- The Wild Man from Sugar Creek by: William Anderson, Favorite Song Artist: Duke Ellington Activities & Interests I write article in the Market Bulletin to farmers. I also enjoy balancing state budgets, and lowering utility rates. Whatever I can do to please my people.

Today I had a meeting with Northwest Georgia Farmers, and a man asked me if that was true. I responded with, “Sure I stole it! But I stole it for you.” Yes, I did steal it but I wasn’t stealing it for any personal reasons, but I stole it for my people. Comments 2- Herman TalmadgeFather, I believe you. You are an honest man. I know you wouldn’t just steal money for no reason. I believe that you did it with a reason. Carrie Roberts TalmadgeHusband of mine, I realize that peoples’ opinions matter to you, but you also have to realize that people are going to criticize you.
