Low-radius Stave – Thermally Conducting Foam Tube diameter shown is approximately appropriate for C3F8 but would be smaller in OD by about 2mm for CO2 cooling Support points along length to external shell (not shown) Carbon-fiber layup, tuned to give desired stiffness and stability Carbon foam with K ≥ 6 and  ~0.1- 0.2 g/cc Option 2: BN loaded epoxy ~ 75µ + carbon- fiber ≥ 100-150µ thick Option 1: BN loaded epoxy 100-150µ thick ~ 2cm
