But with time and more superior technology like use of satellites and wireless services the service has improved and made simple for larger people to use it. Advantages Of Mobile Phones This wireless media soon became so popular that they become a medium to stay connected with the world and seemed useful in case of emergency. They formed a quick medium to get connected in case of emergency. With further advancement in the technology of mobile phones, they became more user- friendly with the addition of more features of internet access, sending and receiving photos, the GPS technology. The expansion of wireless services gave a boom to this industry to flourish. Previously connectivity issues were resolved with more powerful and modern connection facilities. With most companies targeting general public by offering easy and cheap packages at nominal rates and due to the competition of mobile companies, the mobile phones are also becoming cheap, smaller in size and with more addition of features.
Now it was not just a way to make and receive a call, but it was being used to send and receive data be it pictures or videos, sending SMS, check emails, and connect to PC or laptops. Today the mobile phones are more advanced with the introduction of androids and smart phones that are capable of doing most of the things done on PC or laptops. These have formed a way to stay connected with the world with the use of mobile phone app, and internet access is easy and handy, being used anywhere at our convenience. With these features, this small handheld device formed a necessary part of our lives where one can hardly imagine being without it. Everything has its merits and demerits, so do mobile phones also do have. Apart from being connected to the outer world and in the case of emergency from some of the mobile phones advantages. Using it most of the time say for chatting or net surfing forms the major disadvantage as one gets so involved in it that one forgets the environment around it. Mobile phones are a way to stay connected with our family and friends and should be used wisely as excessive use of everything is bad. From students to professionals, everyone uses a mobile phone in their day to day life. People have developed such a character that they can’t even live without a mobile phone. But as everyone says, if something has a good face, and then surely it would have a bad face. Similarly, our beloved mobile phones have also many disadvantages which are unfortunately threatening to our lives. It means that it would oscillate about million to billion times per second. The microwave exposure and cancer have a close relation. Because these, microwave frequencies can interfere with the proper structure of DNA and also triggers cell ageing.
In 1993 the telecom industry spent about $25 million to promote the mobile phones by conducting researches on its effects and certified that mobile phones are cent percent safe. But now it has turned out to be just the opposite. Studies have proved that usage of mobile phones inside the automobiles will increase the strength of the microwave field. These high magnitude electromagnetic fields are injurious to health. The studies conducted in various parts of the world tell us the fact that the percentage of brain cancer patients have increased after the revolution of mobile phones. The effects of these radiations have a greater impact on the children. So do keep away your mobile phones from the reach of your children. It is found out that the intensity of microwave radiation is greater in the keypads and at the microphone mouthpiece. So this causes radiation to have a direct impact on the eye, ear, and nose. Placing your mobile phone close to your ear causes radiation to have its impact on the brain. Short term usage won’t risk your life. But a longer version could bring trouble. It is advisable to use a headset while taking on your mobile phone. But still, this won’t help you get away from cancer. It sure keeps your mobile away from the brain and head, but it surely will have an impact on your liver and heart if you are placing your mobile phone in your pocket. So it is better not even to use a mobile phone! But as you all know that we have brought our lives into such positions that we can’t even think about leading a life without mobile phones. For millions of years, the amount of radiation is very low. But after the mobile phone revolution, this amount has just doubled in two or three decades.
These studies and facts are trying to get our attention into a potential danger of using mobile phones. Why do we love a thing which is going to kill you anyway?
