  2. Modification Overview • Production of the 765 began in 1975 and is current.

  3. Canopy Removal • The canopy is secured to the bonnet with a lock nut.

  4. Bonnet Removal • ½”-11/4”: The bonnet is threaded into the body and sealed by an o-ring. • No spring load. • 11/2”-2”: The bonnet is bolted to the body and sealed by an o-ring. • There is a slight spring load on the bonnet.

  5. Float Removal and Service • The float is free once the bonnet has been removed. • Replace the rubber seal by pulling it from the groove on the float.

  6. Check Valve Removal ½”-11/4” • The check valve is spring loaded. • Remove the spring retainer by pressing down and rotating to clear tabs on the body. • Remove spring and poppet.

  7. Check Valve Removal 11/2”-2” • The check valve is free once the bonnet is removed. • Remove the retainer, spring and poppet.

  8. Check Disc Replacement • The check disc is free once the retaining screw and guide are removed.

  9. Check Seat Replacement • The check seat is part of the body. • If the seat is damaged the assembly must be replaced.

  10. Reassembly Notes • Reassemble in reverse order. • Place large end of spring down toward the check poppet. • Make sure bonnet guide is inserted into center of float.
