  1. Barbados Barbados was discovered by Spanish navigators in the late 15th century and claimed for the Spanish Crown. It is situated in the western area of the North Atlantic and 100 kilometers (62 mi) east of the Windward Islands and the Caribbean Sea

  2. Flag and Coat of Arms The flag is dark blue and yellow. There are three vertical stripes the two on the outside are blue and the middle is yellow. In the yellow stripe there is a black devils spear. In the coat of arms there are two animals one is a dragon and the other is a duck. In lettering at the bottom in a yellow ribbon is ‘PRIDE AND INDUSTRY’. Also in the shield in the middle there is a fig tree.
