  3. To the Romantics, expressing themselves were significant. • Expressions were shown through art, music, literature, poetry, drama and philosophy. • For the Romantics, they believed that the fundamental key to creating art was the imagination.

  4. Imagination • William Blake claims, “The eternal body of man is the imagination.” • In Book XIII of The Prelude, written by William Wordsworth, he states, “Imagination has been our theme.”
