  3. BREAST modeling • In the case of breast hypertrophy, the breasts are too large, and the excessive size and weight amend the flexibility of the tissue and causes an ache in the back muscles.  • Breast attrition surgery minimizes the size of the breasts, corrects ptosis and resolves both functional and aesthetic problems.

  4. Who is it for? • Breast reduction is a procedure for surgically reshaping exceptionally large breasts to increase comfort and satisfaction. • Breast uplift with reduction can reduce the breast size and make them look better and firmer.

  5. Get Prepared Take some time off work to get the required rest post-operation. During the recovery period, you will also need support and help from family and friends as you will not be able to do physically demanding jobs, attend social events, etc. In case you have young children you might also need to arrange child care. Make sure that you don’t have any acute sickness, such as a viral illness or cold, for at least three weeks before your scheduled temporal lift surgery; please inform us in case it does occur. Bring your usual medicines and pills, if possible in the original packaging. Smokers are encouraged to stop or at least considerably reduce smoking two weeks before the operation, and make sure you bring nicotine patches with you. It is required to wear elastic garments after the procedure which you can buy from the clinic or bring your own. Ideally, women should not have their period during the operation but in case they do, they should inform their doctor.

  6. How is it done ? • Incisions are made around the areolae and down into the folds under the breast. The excess glands, fat, and skin, are removed, the organs are remodeled, and the areolae are repositioned up in the center of the newly reshaped breast.

  7. Surgery After Surgery The breast reduction surgery takes approximately three to four hours and is performed under general anesthetic. • Breast reduction procedure requires two, sometimes three overnight stays at the clinic and a two-week rest period. A re-bandage is done at the clinic on the third to fifth day after leaving the hospital.  • In the first two months after the operation, it is not recommended to go to a swimming pool as there is a high risk of acquiring an infection. Avoid bras with stays and underwire for 4-6 weeks. Avoid lifting anything over 5 pounds for two weeks.

  8. Possible Complications • Usually, body temperature rises slightly for two to three days. An analgesic can easily ease the discomfort connected to any possible pain in the area operated upon.   • Patient might experience pain in the field of the scars. This is quite common, but an analgesic can ease it. Expect some drainage onto the sterile-strips covering the incisions. • There may be temporary soreness, tightness, swelling and bruising as well as some discomfort in the incision area and your breasts may be sensitive to stimulation for a few weeks.
