Prairiefire Project in Overland Park, KS - Fred Merrill Jr.

The Prairiefire Project began with a vision from developer and business professional Fred Merrill Jr., his business partners and associates, including Matt Masillionis of Rees Masillionis Turley Architecture, Rob Anderson of Field Paoli Architects, Jonathan Kharfen of Verner Johnson and McCown Gordon Construction. Though initially delayed due to the global financial crisis that began in 2007-2008, the project soon became one of the most popular districts in Overland Park, KS and the surrounding region. Merrill Companies and its associates developed a multi-phase plan to meet the market and area demographics; and although mixed-use projects with cultural components are even more complicated, his cool approach to business has kept it on track.
