  5. FastTrack Planning Engagement Objectives The intent of this workshop is to help envision your Office 365 solution. During this engagement you’ll work with experts to discover how Office 365’s capabilities can help to achieve your stated business objectives. The planned outcome is a recommended approach to deployment with clearly defined next steps. Planned activities during the engagement include: Planning workshop to understand project objectives, challenges and success criteria of the Office 365 Project Setting up of a Getting Started environment to help end-users familiarize themselves with the Office 365 environment Configuration of deployment training labs Technical workshops to address specific concerns

  6. Engagement Objectives (3Days) The intent of this workshop is to help envision an Office 365 solution. During this engagement, you’ll work with experts to discover how Office 365’s capabilities can help achieve your stated business objectives. • Planned activities • Planning workshop to understand project objectives, challenges and success criteria of Office 365 project • Setup of a Getting Started environment to help end-users familiarize themselves with the Office 365 environment • Configuration of deployment training labs • Technical workshops to address specific concerns • Complete Preliminary Deployment Plan The planned outcome is a recommended approach to deployment with clearly defined next steps.

Engagement Agenda: DAY 2 DAY3 DAY 1 • Kickoff • Define project decision-making process • Office 365: What is it? • Review Business Requirements/Business Objectives • Criteria for Success • Meet with business users identified for project planning and prioritization • Review Getting Started scenarios and prioritize business impact • Begin building solution strategy and adoption priority • Review criteria for success • Review information gathered during planning sessions • Complete Preliminary Deployment documentation and review session output with team • Confirm next steps and timeline

Engagement Objectives (10 Days) • This engagement will help: • Envision, plan and get started with Office 365 • Develop a deeper understanding of how Office 365 maps to business priorities • Understand access to technical expertiseand recommended guidance. • Planned activities • Detailed Planning Workshop to understand project objectives, timelines, current environment and technical requirements • Setup of a Getting Started environment to help end-users familiarize themselves with the Office 365 environment • Technical assessment of current environment using planning tools and remediation checks. • Technical workshops to address specific customer concerns • Configuration of deployment training labs • Complete the Detailed Deployment Document • Envisioned Results • An easy transition • Amplified user engagement • Reduced project risk • Faster time to value.

Office 365 Planning and Assessment Engagement DAY 2 DAY3-6 DAY7-9 DAY10 DAY 1 • Kickoff • Define Project decision-making process • Understand Office 365 • Review Business Requirements/Business Objectives • List Criteria for Success • Meet with business users identified for project planning and prioritization • Review getting started scenarios and prioritize business impact • Begin building solution strategy and adoption priority • Review criteria for success • Start detailed review of customer’s technical infrastructure • Run tools and scripts as needed to get detailed information about customer’s environment • Identity • Active Directory/Identity usage • ADFS needs assessment • Network bandwidth scenario review • Review and build current state architecture for mail and SharePoint usage • Define and confirm usage scenarios • Identify onboarding blockers and build remediation plan for each • Build priority of remediation items and notate if they block onboarding to Office 365 or limit user experience • Report findings from engagement to key stakeholders • Facilitate knowledge transfer to customer stakeholders • Complete the Detailed Deployment Plan and review session output with team • Define next steps and confirm customer timelines

  10. Getting Started Content Provides an environment where business users can experience SharePoint. Deployments are isolated to their own site collection so users can experience SharePoint without affecting the production environment. Users can watch training videos about Office 365 features and associated content within the site allows for immediate experience of some of the features discussed. Foster ideas and creativity to automate manual processes or enhance existing ones with FastTrack sample content.

  11. Getting Started for IT Provides an environment where members of the IT staff can learn about Office 365. IT staff members can follow guided steps for implementation of Office 365 with the FastTrack Tasks site. Provides access to resources to facilitate and guide change management with the Change Management site. Use the FastTrack Management App to access FastTrack Labs for additional training, manage users, and gain valuable information from the feedback surveys.

  12. FastTrack Management App Explore pre-built Scenarios with custom content to your FastTrack site collection. Manage users, review reporting and readiness metrics. Access FastTrack Labs to train and test IT Staff readiness to manage and maintain Office 365 following deployment and implementation. Manage surveys to understand the impact of FastTrack on your organization.

Additional Scenarios Choose from six content-filled, pre-built sites: HR & Internal Communications R&D, Production & Operations Sales & Marketing (home page pictured on right) Finance & Accounting Legal Information Technology Users can explore sample content and learn how to build custom content with the on-page videos. Review tool tips for a quick review of features while gathering ideas for site implementation. Practice building out custom features and solutions before implementing in the production environment.

  14. Criteria For Success Documenting criteria for success upfront should help give everyone a measurable goal to strive for during the engagement. Success Criteria should include outcomes that: Can be measured (e.g., identifying blocking issues for migration) Map to objectives and business goals Stakeholders can agree to and share with the broader team
