What Is The Early CollegeProgram? • A unique opportunity for high school students to experience college life as early as 9th grade. • A chance to be closer to your academic goals by earning up to two years of college credits by high school graduation. • A major savings avenue from college education cost • A program that empowers students and continues to build their self-confidence.

How Does It Work? • Students must meet the eligibility criteria set by Northern Virginia Community College. • Students must receive a recommendation letter from the school principal. • Students must maintain grades that are B and above. • Students willreceive counseling on college course selections and consistent support throughout the semester. • Students must keep their parents updated on all course activities and benchmarks.

Pinnacle Academy Early College Program Standards • Monthly meetings with the College Counselor • Naviance Account guidance and development for each high school student • Biweekly meetings with the admin on the NOVA courses • Annual PSAT exposure • Diagnostic SAT assessment to determine the areas of improvement and strengths for all highs school students • College visits • Offer Sat Math/Reading Tutorials • Working with C2 Education Private Tutoring company in Vienna on a special exam prep packet • Provide transportation between NOVA Annandale Campus and Pinnacle • Peer Tutorial Sessions • Advocacy at NOVA for potential disputes and conflicts

The Pinnacle Academy Class of 2018 College Acceptances • 100% college acceptance • 100% received scholarships • The Class of 2018 were accepted into University of Maryland- College Park, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, University of Virginia, George Mason University, Arizona State University, College of William & Mary, American Catholic University, and American University. • Twostudents will go to the University of Virginia, one student will go to George Mason University, and one student will go to American Catholic University.
