  1. Mitt Romney Muhammad Mushtaq Zahir Khan`

  2. My point of view • No we do not agree with mitt’s POV. The liberal side to us, we feel has more points that we would agree on. Although conservative has some points that we would agree on, the liberal side out weights the conservative side. We feel that Obama is the right person to vote for in this campaign, mostly because his stand is leaning toward the liberal side while Mitt is taking a conservative stance. • No, Mitts points are not some that I will agree on.

  3. Questions: • The candidate I am profiling is Mitt Romney. • The political party this candidate represents is Republican. • Mitt Romney had his career as Governor of Massachusetts, 2003-2007. • Mitt Romney was part of the 2008 Presidential campaign and his career makes him qualified to be the next president.

  4. Healthcare: • Block grant Medicaid and other payments to states • Limit federal standards and requirements on both private insurance and Medicaid coverage • Ensure flexibility to help the uninsured, including public-private partnerships, exchanges, and subsidies • Offer innovation grants to explore non-litigation alternatives to dispute resolution Education: Mitt Romney believes that the long-term strategy for getting America’s economy back on track is ensuring a world class education for American students. Global competitiveness begins in the classroom. In order to achieve this goal, students must have the skills to succeed in the workforce, ensuring that the promise of opportunity in this country remains strong.

  5. Economy: Romney pledged to initiate 10 major actions on the first day of his presidency, consisting of five Bills and 5 Executive Orders Taxes: Reducing and stabilizing federal spending is essential, but breathing life into the present anemic recovery will also require fixing the nation’s tax code to focus on jobs and growth. To repair the nation’s tax code, marginal rates must be brought down to stimulate entrepreneurship, job creation, and investment, while still raising the revenue needed to fund a smaller, smarter, simpler government. The principle of fairness must be preserved in federal tax and spending policy.

  6. GlobalWarming: Mitt Romney said, "My view is that we don’t know what’s causing climate change on this planet. And the idea of spending trillions and trillions of dollars to try to reduce CO2 emissions is not the right course for us. My view with regards to energy policy is pretty straightforward. I want us to become energy secure and independent of the oil cartels. And that means let’s aggressively develop our oil, our gas, our coal, our nuclear power.” AffirmativeAction: Romney's executive order eliminated the state's Office of Affirmative Action, which required executive agencies to have civil rights officers in charge of monitoring the hiring of minorities, women and people with disabilities. A state diversity office was created, along with broad goals and guidelines.

  7. Gun Control: Mitt will enforce the laws already on the books and punish, to the fullest extent of the law, criminals who misuse firearms to commit crimes. But he does not support adding more laws and regulations that do nothing more than burden law-abiding citizens while being ignored by criminals. Mitt will also provide law enforcement with the proper and effective resources they need to deter, apprehend, and punish criminals. Immigration: As president, Mitt Romney will implement a national immigration strategy that bolsters the U.S. economy, ensures our security, keeps nuclear families together, addresses the problem of illegal immigration in a civil and resolute manner, and carries on America’s tradition as a nation of legal immigrants.

  8. Religion and Gov. : Mitt Romney believes that government should not interfere with religion but God should still be acknowledged in government places. Government should not intervene with religious freedom. Same sex marriage: Mitt Romney is against same sex marriage , and believes that that its not allowed in all/most religions. Marriage is the union for one man and woman.
