Course Objectives • Upon completion students will be able to: • Trim 5010 trees using merge • Create Inbound 5010 compliant maps • Create Outbound 5010 compliant maps • Create Step Up and Step Down Maps • 4010 to 5010 & 5010 to 4010 • Create maps to build 5010 test data from 4010 production data • Create deidentification maps to deidentify production data in test enviroments

Course Achievements • This course provides a solution for two 5010 approaches through the entire lifecycle (Dev, Test, QA, and Prod) that will allow: • Inbound 837 5010 • dropping 4010 production 837 data into a test environment • have it deidentified • converted to 5010 • translated into copybook format • sent to a mainframe • Outbound 835 5010 • receive remittance in copybook format • translate to 5010 X12 • step 835 up to 5010 • step 835 down to 4010
