  1. How to avoid Complications during Pregnancy Pregnancy can have its own share of problems and complications. A time that is very exciting for a majority of women, there are some who battle pregnancy related complications resulting in a great deal of physical and emotional stress. While some of these complications are caused by some pre- existing medical conditions like asthma or anemia, some are caused by avoidable habits, situations, and practices. Pre-natal health checkups are available in the best maternity hospitals in Delhi as they are very crucial for pregnant women. These medical appointments help the women to ascertain the healthy practices that they must follow in order to stay healthy during their nine-month journey of pregnancy. The very first thing to do when your pregnancy is confirmed is to do for routine prenatal health check-up with your doctor and stay well-informed about your health. You must always keep abreast with the development of the baby inside the womb and also keep tab of your own health during that period. If a pregnancy related complication is triggered by some pre-existing medical condition, it will be easily detected during your prenatal health appointments. That said, it is totally imperative for you to be open about any such pre-existing condition with your doctor and discuss it in detail. Hiding any health related facts can result in further complications. Discussing your problems will help you and your doctor to work around the possible solutions. The unavoidable complications must be handled with proper care and medication and so it is important to know their signs and symptoms. Some common possible complications that can occur during pregnancy and their common forms of treatment are listed below.  Gestational Diabetes - This condition affects approximately 18 percent of all pregnancies. This type of diabetes is similar to the Type II diabetes and requires diet and glucose level monitoring throughout the term.

  2. Low or High Amniotic Fluid Levels - Very low or very high level of amniotic fluid can cause possible complications during pregnancy. However, treatments are available for both cases. For low amniotic fluid a woman is given amniotic infusion to increase the levels. For high amniotic fluid, certain medication is used. Preeclampsia - This can occur in women who have high blood pressure during pregnancy. This condition must be treated early as severe preeclampsia can result in serious complications. Treatment can include bed rest on the side to avoid the baby not getting enough oxygen,eating healthy, routine exercise, and avoiding salt. Placenta Previa - This occurs when the placenta is low in the uterus. In this condition the placenta may detach from the cervix and cause preterm labour.
