  1. Advantage of Dental Implants • A result close to your natural teeth • One of the first big advantages of the dental implant is that it allows recreating in a very similar way the appearance of a natural tooth root. In this way, the artificial tooth can have an independent solid anchorage without depending on the adjacent teeth. • A high success rate • Nowadays, advances in dentistry allow a very high success rate for implants. Besides, even if we cannot accurately predict the lifespan of an implant, the fact remains that it is quite possible, that it will stay for life, provided it is properly maintained, that the integration of the implant went well and that the latter was put in good conditions.

  2. Advantage of Dental Implants • Restores chewing comfort • Following the loss of one or more teeth, chewing discomfort may occur due to the decrease in tooth mass. Indeed, a decrease in the number of teeth can make chewing more difficult, that is to say, that cutting or grinding certain foods can become more complex. Dental implants make it possible to find missing teeth and thus increase the quality of chewing. For some people, chewing can be difficult due to an unstable denture. Implants can remedy this situation. • This prevents bone loss • Often, when a tooth is lost, the jaw bone tends to resorb, which can lead to sagging of neighboring teeth, but thanks to the implant, the bone is stimulated and prevents damage. This will keep your jaw and teeth healthy.

  3. Disadvantage of Dental Implants Dental implants take time to heal Let's face it, most people prefer a quick fix rather than a dental implant procedure that takes a few steps like this one, but is this really what we want? A common downside to dental implants is that they are time-consuming.  As your parents tell you, good things take time. Yes, there are concepts like same-day dental implants, but most dental implants require at least some time and steps to be performed at the highest level.  A regular dental bridge can be done in a few days or weeks, however, it takes a higher standard of hygiene to clean under the bridge in the long term. There are compromises of commitment to each.

  4. Disadvantage of Dental Implants Your regular dentist cannot do implant surgery I know, like one doctor wasn't enough, just what you want, more doctors. The reality is that I am a bit of an exception to the rule.  Most dental implants are made by a team of doctors. One doctor is trained specifically in dental surgery and another is trained in restoring teeth with prostheses such as crowns.  The upside is that the field is highly specialized with special attention, but the downside is coordinating care in separate offices and building relationships with an additional dental implant specialist. So you need the best Dentist on Chinguacousy Rd.
