  2. You may choose to consider flying because the bus ride to Cusco is about 24 hours. For hours there was a rock slide that backed up traffic. The bus driver decided to try to drive the bus over the rocks and we were the first ones there. He stopped the bus and we all got out since almost got us killed and helped remove rocks from the road for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. We had to stay at Hostales en Cusco.

  3. Water and food Generally food is cheap. Than the stands on the street or in the markets food is more sanitary in the restaurants. Like a potato or corn dish some street vendors sell very simple things. On the streets in Lima there is also a delicious quinoa soup that you can find.

  4. In the morning one of my favorite things was to have fresh-squeezed orange juice. An orange juice vendor that has a homemade cart is found in many cities. The glass in which the juice is served is returned when you are done. To wash the glasses there is a soap and water container built into the stand used.

  5. Hostels It is usually reasonable priced to spend a night of a private room in a Cusco Hostel. It is usually just as nice and is much cheaper than the hotels. You will get the opportunity to meet other travellers as the shared room are a little cheaper. So be awakened in the middle of the night when they stumble in drunk and hear them snore.
