9. FUND FLOW CHART • MHRD releases the fund to the UT Administration. The UT Administration sanctions the grant-in-aid to District Panchayat as UT share. • Central share is deposited in the Treasury. • The office of the ADE ( District Panchayat ) does the procurement for supply of grocery vegetables, gas cylinders and payment made to the party through Cheque only. • Payment to cooks/helpers is done through bank Account of Cook/Helpers. (e-payments) • Payment to the FCI is made through DD for Food Grains.

28. Report of External Monitoring • The Monitoring team and nodal officer from MS University of Baroda has visited both the Districts. The observations are as under : • The MDM prepared for children was admirable both in quality and quantity. • All the children had the meal and liked the taste. • Seasonal fruits are also served to children.

29. Contd. B. REPORT OF NGO(MAHILA MANDAL) Good quality and tasty meal is served with variety in daily menu for the children. Meal was found nutritious and prepared in hygienic condition. Storage of Food items found in good condition. Cleanliness of Kitchen satisfactory.

School Visit of Secretary(Edn.), Director (Edn.) & IPAI Project Director, MHRD, New Delhi. • OBSERVATION REPORT • Secretary (Edn.) observed that MDM was found in good quality and being prepared as well as served in good condition and also suggested to check the validity period of condiments • Director(Edn.) observed that the cooked food was tasty and healthy and as per prescribed norms. • IPAI Project Director observed that the Mid Day Meal Scheme is implemented properly and the children are enjoying the meals.
