Walsall Strategy • Alcohol specific commissioner • Alcohol Strategy reviewed annually based upon a partnership needs assessment • Governed through Safer Walsall Partnership Board and NHS Board • 3 Themed areas of work with operating groups overseeing the work in prevention, treatment and crime and disorder

Examples of Work plan • Services organised against a Dept. of Health National Service Framework for Alcohol • Training to associated social care and health professionals(50 sessions per annum) • Targeted training sessions in schools • Alcohol arrest referral service • A&E liaison and referral service • Alcohol Treatment Requirement court mandated order • Primary care alcohol brief interventions (Locally Enhanced Service)
