Sharing and postingpersonal information • These sites allowyou to post videos, photos, audio files online and engage in video conversation with webcam, microphone and digital camera. • But, there are somerisks on blogs for example. Yourpersonal information canbecaptured by the others and continue to circulate online. • In order to fightit, youshouldpost lesspersonal information.

  4. Meeting inappropriate people A chatroomis a big conversation with a lot of people around the world . Problems: You canmeetbadpersons on the internet . Thesepersonscanbe a child abuser , a murderer , or just a personwho has badthinking about you. The possible risks are : The people whoyougetfriendlywithcanhave suspiciousthings in mind and theycan lie about themselves, and in real life theycanbeverydangerous and differentfromwhattheytoldyou. Recommendations : You shouldchoose a user’sname . Be careful not to give out anypersonal information and never arrange a face to face meeting.

  5. Addiction to the Internet There are several users of the web which consider themselves very addicted to the Internet. They play, they chat, they use social networks such as Facebook and Twitter . They spend all their free time in front of their screens . Consequently, they aren’t sociable anymore and become completely dependent. They spend less time at work and with their family. Some people can be victims of a nervous breakdown and lose weight. There is more than one solution to “be cured” of the addiction. To spend less time on the net, people should find an other activity they are keen on.

The mostknownmadwares are « addwares » and « spywares » -Adware, or advertising-supported software, is any software package which automatically plays, displays, or downloads advertisements to a computer. These advertisements can be in the form of a pop-up.The object of the Adware is to generate revenue for its author. Adware, by itself, is harmless; however, some adware may come with integrated spyware such as keylogers and other privacy-invasive software -One of the mostdangerousvirusesyoucouldmeet by opening one of thosesshady messages is the spyware, whichdoesn’t destroy your computer, but your life. This virus copy various informations and sendthem to it’screator. It canbewhereyou go on the internet. Then, it’creatorwillsendyouadds. It canalsosearch for yourcreditcard ID. Then, it’screatorwillsendyou bills.

But don’tworry, there are manyways to avoid the situation. • Do not click on linkfrom a stranger or someoneuntrustworthy • Do not go on suspiciouswebsitesor whenyour antivirus tells youthatthereis a risk. Obtainingyourname on the web Someonewhogotyournamecanbedangerous, becausehecanstealyouridentity online, hecangetmuchpersonal information about you. (address, telephonenumber) And after, it’s a possibility to ruinyour real life. You maybewant to know how theyget the information. It’sreally simple, there are twopossibilities. The hacker caneither put a virus in your computer and getpersonal information fromyourcomputer or hecantrapyouon a websitewherehegetsyour IP and gets information fromit.

Be Carefulwithinstant messaging You must becarefulwhen a suspiciouspersonnsaddyou in messenger or other instant messaging becausehecanbedangerous and weard and itcanbe a problem in your life if yousendhimpersonal information. You must pay attention about whatyou’resending photos (or videosinappropriatewebsites…) Moreover, you must becareful about receivingphotos … becauseitcanbeinappropriateand / or illegal.
