  7. Loze beloften • Mening tekenaar? • Hitlers mond die samenvalt met de loop van het kanon, belooft vrede. Het Duitse leger is echter al in opperste staat van paraatheid. Het bijschrift luidt: loze beloften. Volgens de tekenaar is Hitler een huichelaar met zijn vredesbelofte. In werkelijkheid wil hij oorlog.
