Before Beginning Instruction: • Use diagnostic assessments to determine student readiness. • Formal or informal • KWL Charts • Determine Student Interest • Include students in the planning process • Incorporating student interests into a particular lesson • Identify student learning styles and environmental preferences • Ask students how they learn best • Large or small groups • lighting

  5. Strategies During: • Grouping • Stations/Centers • Cube Activities • Journaling • Reading • Blogging • Choice Boards

  6. After Incorporate different ways of assessment based on students’ work during the lessons. Use data found in assessment for further instruction in future lessons.
