  3. Why are we here? And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, in order that we might know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 1 John 5:20

  4. Discussion:If Jesus is true, what are beliefs in our times that are false? 1. We are pretty good people, and God just makes us better – Romans 5:10 For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son 2. We save ourselves by our own good works - Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For aby grace you have been saved bthrough faith; and 1that not of yourselves, it is cthe gift of God; 9anot as a result of works, that bno one should boast. 3. We should love others only if they love us. - Matthew 5:46 46 "For aif you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the 1tax-gatherers do the same? 4. We are to worry about the future - Matthew 6:34 3"Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. 5. Follow God for a life of comfort and pleasure - Matthew 6:19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, Matthew 6:21 for awhere your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 10:38 And ahe who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

  5. The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8
