  1. APUSH 7-26-11 Welcome back! Please pick up your name plate

  2. Summer Work • Any questions on due date or how to submit in tii. Check for your matching % in tii, be sure to use your own voice, avoid any suspicion of plagiarism by staying in the blue-green color zone. • If you are having any trouble on finalizing your summer assignment, be sure to schedule some time after class with me well in advance of due date.

  3. Assigning books • As I call your name, please bring up your American Pageant book and your id card or number. • You will also record the last 4 digits of this book on the book list along with the last 4digits of the 1st semester documents book (green book). The AMSCO book number is on the bottom of the book. Be sure to record carefully. • DO NOT LEAVE THE ROOM WITH ANY BOOK THAT HAS NOT BEEN MANUALLY RECORDED.

  4. Syllabus Questions????? • Do you understand notebook requirements? • Do you understand how guiding questions homework will work, and how it can be optional (not extra credit) on some chapters based on your test success on the prior unit? • Test mastery is available based on certain requirements. I’ll explain how this works in more detail over the next week. • Remember, NO FEAR, with smart working habits you can be successful in the class. Lots of help through technology resources and me will be available if needed.

  5. Guiding Questions and Homework • The guiding questions homework questions for each chapter are available on the website. The due date for these questions to be word processed, turned in to tii (mandatory for grading acceptance so make it a habit), and brought to class is on your assignment calendar. • Let’s take a peak at the first one www.apushsuccess.wikispaces.com
