Input and Evaluation Process • Oct. 28 -Presented original proposal to Board • Nov. 3-Dec. 3 -Employee/retiree meetings • Dec. 9 -Feedback from meetings provided to Board • Feb. 3 -Recommendation to focus on future employees, current employees and current retirees as separate groups • Feb. 5 -Retiree focus group • Feb. 6 -Board retreat

  3. Implementation Phases New Employees • Effective 7/1/09 for those hired on or after that date Current Employees • Recommendations in near future • Earliest implementation 7/1/10 Current Retirees • Delay consideration until after Board meets in August 2009

  4. New Employees(Hired on or after 7/1/09) No changes recommended to original proposal Pre-65 • All position classifications will participate in VRS only, with health insurance credit upon retirement (minimum 15 years VRS service required) • Access to NNPS plans will be available (new medical plan, dental, vision) with 15 years total NNPS service and 2 years in plan • Will not receive contribution for insurance from NNPS Board

  5. New Employees(Hired on or after 7/1/09) No changes recommended to original proposal Post-65 • Receive VRS health insurance credit if eligible – for use to purchase Medicare supplement or other individual insurance
