  1. SUSTAINABLE USE OF WATER

  2. Individual agenda - the implementation of tasks by project-based learning • - „Sustainable use of water”

  3. INNOVATING OLD LIGHTING SYSTEM AT SCHOOL BY INTRODUCING LED LAMPS FIXTURES IN ORDER TO INCREASE ELECTRICAL EFFICIENCY–JULY 2013

  4. SORTING OUT RUBBISH - JULY 2013

  5. FITTING THE SYSTEM OF HEAT COST ALLOCATORS – SEPTEMBER 2013

  6. PERFORMING A NUMBER OF CLASSES RELATED TO THE TOPIC OF THE PROJECT DURING BIOLOGY, GEOGRAPHY, ENGLISH AND IT LESSONS

  7. COLLECTING MATERIALS REALATED TO THE TOPIC "THE USE OF WATER IN POLAND”. NEWSPAPER ARTICLES THE INTERNET PUBLICATIONSTHEMATIC TRIVIA http://www.rceeplock.pl/wisla/files/woda/ochrona_zasobow_wod.pdf http://www.aqua.celmax.pl/zasoby.htm http://europa.eu/legislation_summaries/environment/water_protection_management/l28002b_pl.htm http://www.zst.edu.pl/html/ekologia/index2.html http://ekoproblemy.2ap.pl/zanwod.htm

  8. WATER AND ITS ABUNDANCE MONITORING • Here are the pictures of some chemicals we analyse in our school laboratory by VIS spectrophotometry and appropriate spectra. This way we determine their concentrations in the nearby river.

  9. GRAPHIC DIAGRAMS OF THE LABORATORY TESTS

  10. WATER QUALITY TEST IN THE CITY OF SOSNOWIECTHE COURSE OF ACTIVITIES:1) EXPERIMENT A - SPECIFYING THE SMELL AND TRANSPARENCY OF WATER IN PARTICULAR WATER SAMPLES2) EXPERIMENT B - SPECIFYING pH (WATER REACTION). WE POUR REAGENTS INTO WATER SAMPLES. WE ALSO MAKE USE OF UNIVERSAL INDICATORS. 3) EXPERIMENT C - DETECTING CALCIUM IONS BY ADDING SULPHURIC ACID TO PATRICULAR SAMPLES .* GROUP DISCUSSION ABOUT THE OUTCOMES OF THE CONDUCTED EXPERIMENTS. * COMPARING THE QUALITY OF WATER FROM DIFFERENT WATER RESERVOIRS * WRITING THE EQUATIONS OF THE NOTICED CHEMICAL REACTIONS

  11. CREATING INFORMATION BOARDS ABOUT THE PROJECT

  12. EXPLAINING THE DIFFICULTIES WITH LOWERING PAPER CONSUMPTION AT CKZIUOur school has been incorporated into the Centre of Vocational and Continuing Education at the beginning of the school year 2013/14. Because of that our school has changed its residence and shares the building with another school. Having that in mind we can expect that the total amount of goods (also paper) purchased by the school (now the centre) will not show any decrease. Nevertheless we will try to lower the amount of paper consumption by promoting electronic communication, double-sided copying  and printing, re-using the same sets of tests for as long as it is possible etc..We can try to limit the number of printed documents by replacing some of it with thecomputer version only (it is not possible in every area however).

  13. Organising a local   competition for schools offering education to students with special needs  – “How can I use water in a sustainable way in my future profession? ” • Creating multimedia presentations about the project • An attemt to use water footprint calculator • A visit to a waste-water treatment plant in Goczałkowice – getting to know with the processes of water purification.  • A visit to a Regional Water and Sewage Service Joint Stock Company in Sosnowiec

  14. BUT FIRST AND FOREMOST • During Action Planning we have got to make sure that: • it’s Fun & Real: it needs to be realistic & make a real difference. • It must be DAFT! • • It will make a Difference in our students’ lives AND community • • It’s Achievable: you can conceivably do it, There is no point planning to climb Mount Everest if you don’t knowhow to walk yet – keep Everest in sight, but start off with the hill in yourbackyard first. You will learn the skills you need and be motivated byyour success to tackle bigger projects next. • • It’s Fun! If you enjoy it, you’ll stick with it; if others enjoy it, they’ll helpyou make it happen. • • It’s Targeted. Make sure you know what you are trying to achieve, howyou will achieve it and why.
