  2. Q and A • How about Display Board? What are the parts and guides? • How about the necessary Forms in National Science Fair? • How do you make a Concept Video? What should be in it?

  3. Required Forms and Manuscripts1. Research Plan A. Questions/Problems being addressed B. Goals/Expected Outcomes/ Hypotheses/Assumptions C. Procedure and data Analysis D. References2. Forms for All the Projects A. Checklist for Adults Sponsors B. Student Checklist (1A) C. Research Plan D. Approval Form (1B) E. Regulated Research Institutional/ Industrial Setting Form (1C)3. Forms Depending on the Type of Research (Involving Humans, Vertebrate animals, hazardous Chemicals, etc.) A. Qualified Scientist Form (2) B. Risk Assessment Form (3) C. Human Participants Form (4) D. Human Informed Consent Form E. Vertebrate Animal Form (5A) F. Vertebrate Animal Form (5B) G. Potential Hazardous Biological Agents Risk Assessment Form (6A) H. Human and vertebrate Tissue Form (6B) I. Continuation Project Form (7)

  4. Required Forms and Manuscripts 4. ABSTRACT ( Maximum of 250 words), should include the following: A. Purpose/main Objective of the Experiment B. Procedure C. Data Conclusion 5. Research Paper (Full) 6. Project Evaluation Form 7. Scanned Copy of the Logbook

  5. Physical Set-up/Visual Display The physical set-up must be attractive and informative. Interested spectators and judges should easily asses the study and the results obtained. Use clear and concise displays. Make headings stand-out, draw graphs and diagrams clearly and label them correctly. A one-page project abstract must be posted in one corner of the booth. Be sure to adhere to the size limitations and safety rules when preparing the display

  6. Organize your information like a newspaper so that your audience can quickly follow the thread of your experiment by reading from top to bottom, then left to right. Include each step of your science fair project: Abstract, question, hypothesis, variables, background research, and so on. • Use a font size of at least 16 points for the text on your display board, so that it is easy to read from a few feet away. It's OK to use slightly smaller fonts for captions on picture and tables. • The title should be big and easily read from across the room. Choose one that accurately describes your work, but also grabs peoples' attention. • A picture speaks a thousand words! Use photos or draw diagrams to present non-numerical data, to propose models that explain your results, or just to show your experimental setup. But, don't put text on top of photographs or images. It can be very difficult to read.

  7. Does your display board include: • Title • Abstract • Question • Variables and hypothesis • Background research • Materials list • Experimental procedure • Data analysis and discussion including data chart(s) & graph(s) • Conclusions (including ideas for future research) • Acknowledgements Bibliography

  8. Poster Contest

  9. Poster Contest

  10. Concept Video • 1 minute running time • 3 Parts of the Video Content: • I. Problem you wish to solve (Statistics, actual Pictures, news report (10 seconds)) • II. Your Solution and how it works • - present the title and the prototype; diagram • - perform its function (actual)

  11. Mark Your Calendars1. Full Paper with required forms and certificates (September 9 (Mon); September 10 (Tuesday), 2019) 2. Display Board and Concept Video (September 11 & 12, 2019)3. Final Defense (September 13, 2019 – Friday – Whole Day)
