Loadsensors· installationprocedure, resources & equipmentneeded low beta magnets repositioning systems • According to impact of diffrent cables lengths impedance effect for measured signal value → IN-SITU calibration needed • A special, mobile test-bench was designed to perform laboratory tests and tunnel calibration • Procedure of sensor instalation inside the triplet’s JACK discussed and approved at LMC meeting 14.09.2011 (description in EDMS 1173532) • 2 persons for preliminary tests and tunnel installation needed (~50% of FTE during LS1 period; M.Sosin + J.Sandomierski)

Loadsensors· preparationstatus & installationschedule low beta magnets repositioning systems • The 90 load sensors received from suppier (HBM, begin of 2012) • 12 WordFIP - Load Sensor Acquisition System (LSAS) crates assembled; 4 crates installed in P5, P2 • Cables for P1, P2, P5 installed; P8 cabling will be performed by EN-EL during LS1 (waiting for final schedule, Jean-Claude Guillaume et.al.) • Software integration with existing control system (FESA/PVSS) was performed by EN-ICE (E.Blanco et.al.) • 50 sensors tested; 23 installed in P5, P2; 40 sensors waiting for preliminary tests • PVSS synoptics integration for P1, P8 needed P5 L + 30% of P2 L 2012-TS3 P1 LS1: 2013.04..06 P5 R 2012-TS2 Finalize P2 L&R ? 2012-TS4 Finalize P2? Upgrade · integrationofnewdeviceswithexistingcontrolsystem low beta magnets monitoring systems • According to radiation level increase in the triplets area – the new devices to provide remote sensors diagnostic & maintenance needed: - HLS filling/purging station - WPS wire displacement device - WPS wire break tester • Integration with SURVEY PVSS/FESA control system needed → requested to EN-ICE (technical spec.under prep.) • Design and tests of dedicated controlers pending (A.Marin, M.Sosin) • Resources for integration (M.Sosin, ~10% of FTE during LS1 period) • Schedule → first full system tests at mid of LS1

Conclusion • Still a lot of work of preparation, assembly, reception and validation concerning filling/purging and wire displacement systems, as well as acquisition systems (SAS). • «Work preparation» room to be found • Two new persons to be trained • LS1: Work load of 100 % for Andreas and Antonio, 50% for Mateusz. But this is not the only activity of MTI unit. • External issues, e.g. damage of equipment hard to estimate • Budget concerning one FSU + filling/purging and wire displacement systems still pending.
