  3. Problem Determination : The Problem • Need a way to assimilate information from several sources • Information not Automatically Correlated • Common Symptoms for Common Problems • Time Consuming • Specific Expertise often not documented or shared efficiently

  4. Problem Determination : The Data • Different vendors and proprietary formats • Typically large files • Differences in format and level of detail • Difficult to locate and correlate (i.e. two machines on different time zones)
